Dr. Quintner graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Phi Beta Kappa key in 2004 from Tufts University where he received his BS in Biology and spent his junior year abroad at Oxford University researching cellular and molecular microbiology. He then joined the class of 2008 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Throughout all four years at Penn, he was the proud recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship – awarded to the top 25 undergraduate applicants based on academic performance. He spent a summer in Washington DC as a health policy fellow of the American Medical Student Association, one of 8 medical and dental students chosen nationwide. He graduated with National Boards part I and II honors, and was the sole recipient of the Delaware Valley Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award. He was also the founder and president of the Penn Dental Sailing Club.
Dr. Quintner enrolled in a competitive dental residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. The residency provided further training in dental trauma, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, dental implants, endodontics, TMJ Dysfunction, IV sedation dentistry and the management of medically complex patients. Dr. Quintner was the first recipient of the William J. Reiger Award given to the resident who shows the highest motivation and superlative skills in both clinical and didactic general dentistry.
He continues his dental education with Spears seminars, Dr. Parnoff Study Club, Fairfield County Study Club, The Connecticut State Dental Association Continuing Ed. Continuum, and has achieved his Mastery of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also an active member and fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Quintner enjoys performing rehabilitative dentistry utilizing techniques in smile design, endodontics, bone grafting and implant placement, digital and CAD/CAM restorative dentistry, and bonded ceramics. He has had the pleasure of working side by side with his father at Sensitive Care since 2009, and has recently become Managing Partner and President of the dental group. Carrying on the family tradition of excellence, It is his great pleasure to oversee such a wonderful and dedicated group of professionals and his mission to deliver the finest comprehensive dental care in New Haven and Fairfield Counties.
Away from the office, he spends his time serving the homeless population in Milford on the Board of Directors for the Beth El Shelter. He enjoys playing squash, hitting the slopes, running, biking, fishing and racing sailboats.
